BIG NEWS!!!!!! We have moved.
The large majority of our sales are now via the internet, so we have moved the inventory to our own property to streamline our efforts in that direction. Already it has made an improvement to be able to capture those internet sales immediately as we are now able to check the stock immediately.
However, we still want to be available to our local customers. You are welcome to make an appointment most any afternoon. Please do not hesitate. It is not an imposition. We love it and it is actually easier for us than having set hours that keep us from enjoying many field trips and other activities. We appreciate the extra effort put forth to make the appointment rather than just dropping in. It gives us the flexibilty to balance the needs of our customers and our family.
This new flexibility also allows us more time to work towards some other exciting opportunities with our day camps, classes and special ed support services. This fall, we are considering a online writing evaluation service that utitlizes the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). This is an option for families who are unable to attend weekly classes or who were not able to get into a weekly or co-op class. These classes would only meet occasionally for overview and instruction. The assignments and feedback would be provided through email (or regular mail for an extra postage fee). Assignments would be geared to each grade level and systematically cover composition requirements.Parents are still the primary teachers and we would give feedback on areas of spelling, grammar, etc., along with gentle correction and encouragement to motivate even reluctant writers. For those students too young to type, the papers could be mailed or scanned into emails.

Landrum, SC ~ Worth the Drive
Landrum is a lovely town with fantastic food, antique stores, specialty shops, delightful parks, and friendly people. Wait until you see our library. You just might be jealous! ;-) Bring a couple of friends and make a day of it. Treat yourselves to shopping and a bite to eat. There's even a day spa. Maybe you want to bring the whole family. You could visit F.E.N.C.E Nature and Equestrian Center , Pearson's Falls, or picnic at one of the great local parks. There is one just down from our store, or you could drive a few miles down the road to Harmon Field , complete with fenced in playground, walking track, fields, and a gorgeous mountain stream. Don't just shop, take a field trip. I assure you it is worth the drive. You'll see for yourself when you get a glimpse of "our" mountains.
